To be clear: our two houses are in Hengchun town, not on the beach. Nanwan Beach is a ~8 min drive, and Kenting Main Street is a 10 min drive to Kenting Main Street.

Both our houses are in Hengchun, a 10 min drive to Kenting Main Street. The usual spots are all within 20 minutes:

3. Evenings and local life
On Main Street the night market is right outside. In Hengchun you can stroll around the Hengchun Old City Walls (~10 min walk) and try the snacks on the old street; with a whole house you can also head back to grill, sing and play mahjong. KTV hours are 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM, leaving the evening quiet for everyone to rest.

Hengchun is known for its onions. A few minutes' walk from the houses is a gift centre run by the Hengchun Farmers' Association (禾滿糧廚) (Facebook page), with local gifts such as onion soy sauce, onion crisps, rice wine and shochu — easy to pick up before you head home.
A tip from the concierge: the same items are often a little cheaper next door at the Farmers' Association shopping centre (恆春鎮農會農民購物中心), so it is worth looking in both.

4. Getting around and parking
Near Main Street you can walk to the shops; from Hengchun you will mostly drive. Both our houses have dedicated parking: Dream Come True has 3 free dedicated parking spaces and Wish Come True has 4 free dedicated parking spaces; roadside parking along nearby white lines is also possible, though not guaranteed.
Driving down from the north, this is the coast along the way.
5. Space: where does a group gather
With a big group, the hardest part is finding somewhere everyone can sit together. With a whole-house stay the house is yours alone — the lounge, barbecue area, KTV and mahjong are all for your group; for even more people, the two houses face each other and can be booked together.
